Server Setup Help

Everything you need to get your Windrose dedicated server up and running — including setting a password and inviting your friends.

🔒 Setting a Server Password

Want to keep your server private? You can set a password so only you and your friends can join.

Open your server in the panel.

Navigate to the Startup tab.

Enter your desired password in the server password field and save your changes.

Restart your server for the password to take effect.
🎟️ Finding Your Invite Code

Once your server is online, it will generate an invite code that you can share with friends so they can join your world.

Make sure your server is running. The invite code is only generated once the server has fully started.

In the panel, click Files in the top bar.

Navigate to and open the file:
/R5/ServerDescription.json

Inside the JSON file, look for the InviteCode section. Copy the code value.

Share this invite code with your friends! They can paste it in-game to join your server and play together.
💡 Pro Tip

The invite code may change if your server restarts or gets a new IP. If your friends can't connect, check the ServerDescription.json file again for an updated code.
