✨ Starting a New Game

If you just want a fresh world, you don't need to do anything extra. Once your server is running and a player has been connected for at least 15 minutes, the server will automatically create all the necessary folders and save files. Just hit play and enjoy.

📂 Uploading an Existing Save

Want to continue a save from your local game? Follow the steps below.

Find your local save files. They're located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[RandomNumber]\1631270\remote\Saved\SaveGames

Your save files must be named AutoSave0.met and AutoSave0.sav. If your existing save has a different name, rename both files after uploading them to the server.

In the panel, click Files in the top bar.

Navigate to StarRupture/Saved/SaveGames.

Create a new folder called StarRuptureServer inside that directory.
If you changed the session name in your server's Startup settings, use that name instead — the default is StarRuptureServer.

Upload your .met and .sav files into this folder. Make sure they are named
AutoSave0.met and AutoSave0.sav — rename them if needed.
